More than 20 high school seniors who travelled to Mexico on an excursion from a school trip to Arizona have been suspended because of acccusations that they consumed some alcohol while in Mexico.

The legal drinking age in Mexico is 18. However, according to the head of the School Board in Wilmington, North Carolina, school rules apply internationally and supercede the laws of other countries.

Although only accused, the students have already been punished regardless of their guilt or innocence.
