ALCOHOL PROBLEMS GO DOWN, BUT CONCERN GOES UP!

The widely-publicized study by A Matter of Degree, a program of the American Medical Association with financial support by the Robertt Wood Johnson Foundation, found that parents in the US are increasingly worried and frightened about what they believe to be the effects alcohol is having on their teens and young adults.

Ironically, this increased concern occurs while the actual extent of drinking, abusive drinking, and drinking problems all continue to decline. And they continue to decline among secondary school students, college students, and the general population of young people. Virtually every study confirms these downward trends.
