Teenage Alcohol Drinking Drops

The most recent federally sponsored Monitoring the Future survey has found that teenage use of alcoholic beverages has dropped significantly over the past two years.

The proportion of 8th, 10th, and 12th grade students who have ever drunk alcohol has dropped significantly, according to Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy G. Thompson.

The survey investigated student use of all types of alcoholic beverages: beer, wine, and liquor or distilled spirits.
